Legacy Projects
How do you want your life to touch others? How can you leave your mark on whatever you do? How has your life mattered or how do you want it to matter? Knowing what is important, what drives you and how you want to be remembered creates clarity in how you live your life.
Legacy isn't about death and dying, but about life and living. The legacy project helps enable us to come to an understanding of the meaning of our life, love, life lessons, work, relationships and to capture memories from the past in a concrete way. Legacy is a gift from one generation to the next. A beautiful legacy doesn't mean leaving a huge sum of money, but can be as simple as known for being kind and compassionate.
Together we can explore your life and how you want to live it and be remembered. We can create a legacy project that is unique to your incredible life. We will uncover your purpose whether it is about touching others with your kindness or creating a non-profit in your name for a cause. Even on our deathbed, putting together our legacy can calm fears of regret, find meaning, clarify our purpose, for a beautiful ending.

Past Legacy Projects
Recipe Books
Jenny wanted to leave something special for her loved ones, but had no idea what where to start or how she wanted to be remembered. When we started uncovering her life and all she did for her family, her cooking was at the heart of all she did. She brought smiles at lunch time at school with her snake sandwiches and brought everyone together with big home cooked meals. Jenny's legacy was how she showed her love through food. She brought people together, solved problems, and helped the community through her meals. She and her family loved the idea of creating a cookbook with her best recipes and stories about them.
Life Books
Many of us think our life is not exciting enough to write about, but I would give anything to read a journal or book from my grandmother or great grand parent. When we are gone, all those memories are gone as well. Creating a book about your life, lessons you learned and memories you want to share is an amazing gift for the future. While it may seem overwhelming, it doesn't have to be. Online forms and journals have prompts to follow or I can work with you every step of the way to create a book that portrays your amazing life.
Art
Even if you are not an artist, a piece of art is an amazing way to be remembered. Imagine having a plate your grandma made with her handprints. Together we can create a piece of art that is unique to your life with words of wisdom, special handprints, or pressing objects of meaning into the surface. Using clay, paint, wood, acrylic or fabric, we can create meaning through art.
Quilted Memories
My sister is a quilter and she is in the process of creating quilts for her children and grandchildren. A quilt is a beautiful way to pass down something meaningful to future generations. Using fabrics from clothing or meaningful patterns, we can sew a story into each stitch.
Video
Do you want to tell your story but do not like the idea of writing? Using a video is a great way to record what you want future generations to remember. Using questions, we can go through your life or you can pick and choose what you want to say. The video will be cherished by future generations and they will remember the sound of your voice and your mannerisms.
Journaling
I think opening a journal from a loved one would be one of the best gifts I could ask for. How they felt at the time about politics, what was important or what they were worried about would be a lovely way to connect with my ancestors. Journaling is a great way to put down thoughts without worry about prompts or stories. It can be about emotions, colors and has no right or wrong way to do it. Adding sketches or dried flowers helps create detail about your life. Together we can start a journal for a beautiful gift from your life.
Little Gifts
Legacy doesn't have to be something huge. Imagine if your legacy was kindness. When your name was brought up, people jumped in to offer their story of your kindness. You can start now by leaving this legacy. Buy a coffee for the person behind you, offer to help, leave little gifts of kindness where you go.
You might connect with being compassionate, joyful, stable, loving, empathy or giving.
Together we might create a bowl with kind words others have said, or a scroll with how you made a difference in the lives of others.
Garden or Park Gift
Leaving a gift of a flower garden, either publicly or private, is a wonderful way to be remembered. My mother loved zinnias and she collected the seeds and gave them to those who commented on her garden. Leaving flowers for the future is a beautiful way to be remembered.

A garden, park bench or art piece in a public park creates a beautiful place for future generations. If you are a nature lover, have a garden or want to create a garden, we can find ways to allow your gift to create beauty for future generations.
Celebration
A party or celebration is a beautiful way to be remembered. You can have a party while you are still around to enjoy your friends and loved ones or plan the party for after your departure. YOu are in charge to create the celebration exactly how you might want it.
Trip of a lifetime
Imagine your loved ones opening an envelope that gives them a trip of a lifetime together. Create a legacy of adventure by setting up a trip of a lifetime either while you are still alive or after you pass. You have control over where, when, how long and budget. It might be educational, relaxing or high adventure, whatever you want to gift.
The trip can be all set up and ready to book when you / the family is ready. Leaving a trip is a beautiful legacy to give the future.
Letters to the family
A beautiful way to be remembered is to create letters to family and friends. Write down what they meant to you and how they touched your life. Leave favorite memories of them in your writings. Together we can write letters and create a special box for them as a gift.
Treasure Box
I remember reading a book about a woman on her deathbed told her granddaughter to retrieve a box in the attic. After the grandmother died, the woman found the box and the contents included a small painting by van Gogh. Having a little box prepared for family or loved ones is a beautiful legacy. It is exciting for the family to see what you left just for them. Together, we can create meaningful boxes with items that are special for the recipient. Jewelry, art, letters, recipes are wonderful gifts to treasure.
The gift of Organization
No one wants to deal with all the stuff after a loved one has passed. Let your legacy be one of beauty and organization. Get your house organized, your files in order and have the ending you want laid out. Together we can get paperwork in order including advanced care directives so you and your family know exactly what you want. We can clean out closets, organize drawers, simplify boxes of items so you don't feel overwhelmed and your family doesn't resent you for your "stuff".
Scholarship or non-profit
Are you passionate about a cause or want to help others in a certain field? Starting a scholarship fund or non-profit is a wonderful way of leaving a legacy and giving back. We can work together to identify a passion and start the process of creating a legacy.
Your unique gift
These legacies are just a few ideas of being remembered. You have a unique gift to the world and we can work together to uncover your special life and how you want to be remembered.
